Welfare for the Soul – September 11, 2025
Twenty-four years after September 11th, 2001, the wounds in our collective soul continue to heal. As an organization dedicated to wellness, upskilling, healthcare management, and holistic support, we recognize that true healing encompasses mind, body, and spirit – for individuals and entire communities.
The Invisible Wounds of September 11th
While we remember those who lost their lives, we must also acknowledge those who survived with invisible wounds. PTSD, survivor’s guilt, chronic health conditions from toxic exposure, and generational trauma have affected thousands of first responders, survivors, and family members.
The healing journey is ongoing, and it requires comprehensive support that addresses:
Mental Health: Counseling, therapy, and psychological support
Physical Wellness: Healthcare for respiratory illnesses, cancer, and other 9/11-related conditions
Spiritual Healing: Finding meaning, purpose, and peace after profound loss
Community Support: Building networks of care and understanding
Wellness as Resistance
In choosing to prioritize wellness and self-care, we perform an act of resistance against forces that seek to diminish our light. Every time we choose healing over hatred, hope over despair, and connection over isolation, we honor the memory of those we lost.
Our Commitment to Healing
At Welfare for the Soul, we provide programs and resources that support holistic wellness:
Healthcare Management Programs: Supporting those managing chronic conditions related to 9/11 exposure, helping navigate complex healthcare systems, and advocating for comprehensive care.
Upskilling and Professional Development: Empowering individuals to rebuild their lives, find new purpose, and develop resilience through education and skill development.
Wellness Initiatives: Promoting physical fitness, mental health awareness, and spiritual well-being as foundations for a life lived in honor of those we’ve lost.
Community Building: Creating spaces where people can share their stories, support one another, and find strength in connection.
Supporting Our First Responders
We maintain special programs for first responders and military personnel, recognizing their unique needs:
Trauma-informed wellness programs
Peer support networks
Family counseling services
Career transition support
Holistic health screenings
The Ripple Effect of Healing
When we heal ourselves, we create ripples of healing that extend to our families, our communities, and future generations. The children born after 9/11 – now young adults – need our guidance in understanding this history and building a more peaceful future.
Breast Cancer Awareness and 9/11
We also recognize the increased rates of breast cancer among women exposed to 9/11 toxins. Our breast cancer awareness programs specifically support these survivors, providing resources, screening assistance, and emotional support.
A Message of Hope
To those still struggling with the aftermath of September 11th: Your pain is valid. Your journey is honored. Your healing matters. You are not alone.
To the families who lost loved ones: Your grief has a place in our hearts. We commit to supporting you in whatever way brings comfort and peace.
To our heroes who served and continue to serve: We see you. We support you. We will never stop advocating for your health and well-being.
Living in Peace and Harmony
As we remember September 11th, we also envision the future our heroes died protecting – a future where people of all backgrounds live in peace and harmony, supporting one another through life’s challenges and celebrating its joys together.
This is our commitment: to nurture the welfare of every soul, to promote healing over hatred, and to build communities where love triumphs over fear.
Never Forget. Always Heal. Forever United in Wellness.
